Welcome to ZB Homes, I’m Zane Beckett.
I founded ZB Homes over 20 years ago now. At the time I was encouraged to set up my own building and construction business by the mentors I had just finished my apprenticeship with. Today, I am amazed at what that dream has become. In 2017, we were the first construction company to win Deloitte’s Fast 50, spurred on by our investment in property development.
Twenty years ago I would never would have envisaged becoming a property developer, but when sections became scarce, I knew I had to look at how I could help more people realise their dream of new home ownership. So, I expanded into creating subdivisions and offering house and land packages.
Our team now operates out of Te Awamutu and Tauranga, with around a dozen staff in each office building homes for our clients right across the Waikato region and Bay of Plenty.
At any one time, we have around 40 building projects on the go, and yet we pride ourselves on providing each and every client with personalised service, care and commitment.
We make sure we listen carefully to what you want, provide a seamless build process and offer you a number of benefits when building with ZB Homes.
What motivates me is providing affordable house and land packages. Opening the doors to new home ownership for individuals, couples and families that may otherwise not be able to afford this dream, is my dream.
New homes provide so many benefits, both in terms of aesthetics, comfort and health. To be able to provide those opportunities is a highly rewarding for me.

Hello, my name is Kirsten Chisholm and I’m your first point of call when looking at building a new home at Haultain Estate. You’ll see me at our Design Centre or new Showhome in Te Awamutu, or I can meet you onsite at one of our sections for sale.
Having moved from Auckland over six years ago, I feel lucky to call the Waipa my home. It’s such a beautiful and easy place to live; and the people are lovely!
Working for ZB Homes enables me to combine my qualifications and skills with my love for new homes. I still get excited with every new client that comes on board, and with every new home we build. My role is to help you get started on your dream home. I’ll work closely with you helping you choose your section, decide on your concept plans, fixtures and fittings and prepare all your paperwork, including contracts, quotes and specifications.
As a working mum with two teenage children, I understand the pressures of modern-day living, and strive to ensure the transition to your new home is as easy and enjoyable as possible.
With a husband in the construction industry, and having worked for ZB Homes for quite a few years now, I have lots of practical information to help you make the best choices for your new home.
I love working with my clients to create a beautiful home they can be proud of, and love nothing more than walking you through your new home once it’s been completed! Seeing your home come together after months of working together, is truly rewarding.
Hi, I’m Rochelle Pye and my role is to help guide our clients through the selection process when choosing the colours and details for their new home.
This is the fun part of building a new home. I’ll ensure you have all the options available to you and provide suggestions. You can browse our gallery of ideas, visit our show home or look at completed builds for ideas and inspiration.
One of the great things about building with ZB Homes is the flexibility we afford our clients, and our Project Management software Co-construct enables you to easily request variations and see how much they cost. So, if you decide on something different later on, it’s easy to request changes.
Today you have more choices than ever before, and my role is to make choosing as easy as possible. I’ll provide you with a list of the choices you need to make when we meet, and liaise with the Project Coordinator, Construction Manager and Tradies on your behalf.
I’m passionate about the Te Awamutu-Kihikihi community. Having lived here my entire life, I have seen many changes. While the area extends and evolves, being a part of these new developments is very exciting. It really is a great place to live – getting around town takes minimal times, there are lots of places to eat out, we have a great range of shops and supermarkets, a classic movie theatre, local parks and Lake Ngaroto, Mount Kaepuka and Pirongia Mountain are close by; so there’s lots to do!

Hello, I’m Angela Ede and I look after the Accounts Department for ZB Homes.
I moved to Te Awamutu 18 years ago when I entered the property market. I found the housing in Hamilton to be a bit out of reach, so I headed South and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. Te Awamutu is, and always will be, home to me and my two sons.
Having originally started my career in retail, one day I was lucky enough to meet Zane. That chance encounter ten years ago, eventually lead to me coming on-board in administration.
I thoroughly enjoy looking after the Accounts Department at ZB Homes. I appreciate that this is possibly the biggest purchase people make in their lives, so everything needs to run smoothly. Providing a stress-free experience is the ultimate goal for us all here in the ZB family. It is also important for me to ensure that all our suppliers and staff are paid on time, as they are the backbone of this organisation.
Every day is an exciting challenge. I love that we are making Waipa more beautiful one house at a time!
